Hmm...
Finally stepped into the khumb mela called Wipro. My first day was spent signing documents for gratuity, LTA, HR documents, bank accounts, etc etc etc.... and list went on till evening...
huge work place, with so many unknown faces staring the minute u enter the floor... reminded me of intelli 3.5 years back..
finally i am back where i belong to. anohter guy joined in with me that day. and i have a funny incident to share with all guys. the HR was explaining all the nitty grits of the hr policies and this guy kept on asking the same questions every 5 minutes. finally the HR lady had enough of this and asked why r u so curious about so many things. i mean we should be.... we do not know the tricks of the HR in every company..... so he simply said "i will miss you from tomorrow, so asking many times"
this statement of his made us laugh till we actually cried...... he has a little problem converting his urdu to english when he wants to convey some thing.... that his brain thinks....
Talking of thinking, i think in english when in office, and telugu at home and in hindi if i am with hindi speaking guys. i donno if i am wierd or the rest of the world is mad. but one thing is for sure. i think in english when i want to talk to Ramesh Dharuman, because its kinda of stupid to think in tamil and talk in english.... it will surley be a Rajnikanth stunt. like removing the brain tumour with a gun shot on my head... Enna Rascalaa!
coming back to khumb mela, we have a huge cafetaria and the coffee, tea, milo are free and unlimited.... (hoooray! atlast i get as many coffee as i want, and i dont need to sign on a document copy too, ;-) ). Finally the first day is over, came down the lift and paid a huge amount of 50/- for the mch parking and then started crusing home.
home by 6:30pm, happily spent time watching the saas bahu serials till 11:00pm, when it striked me that 2mrw i have be at work by 8:30am.. too early for me... but will get used to it.

My last day at work
Atlast, had time to update this blog
First Things First: Warning: this is my blog and i write anything i wish to. you can type in ur hatred and swear words in the comments section if u want.
My last day at Atrinova: 31st- Aug-08. So 28th was my last working day. Went to work as usual around 10:30am (thats actually a little early according to my time sheets). and checked my email (again my first thing to do once I reach office). there is nothing much i had to work on. I had JB to do all the things that i wanted to do. Such a lovely guy!!! OK! enough of him now, its my blog and its about myself.
And by the time i looked at the time it was around 1:00pm. so i made the most of my last day doing nothing... almost!
Lunch Time Ahoy!!!! i dont even remember what i had for lunch. i think i was so happy that it was my last day. by the time it was around 3pm, i had decided to talk to my MD. Went into his cabin and sat down opposite him.
I gave a wierd smile... donno why. but i think i was just too happy to leave.
he didnt talk for sometime which seemed like an hour to me.... i finally broke the ice by saying that finally this is my last day. he just smiled... equally wierd... he said one thing- "see beta! i dont want to hinder ur career growth". now i smiled happily. he is actually relieving me.....
finally talking about his career and i debated my career against his career which i seemed i was a winner all the way! (jokes apart - he has immense experience which cant be matched).
Finally it was around 1 hour i was in his room, and saw JB laughing from outside. i thought its time to come out of the room. He gave a real good hug to me and i came out and joined mama and JB for a tea break.
it was around 5:00 pm and i saw all the guys gearing up for some thing that i didnt expect. and it was a farewell party!!!
wow! i didnt expect that at all. not olny from my team but also from the management, we had 2 pairs of cakes, cool drinks and snacks. Had a real wonderful time cutting those cakes and having them with the team. you can have a look at the snaps of the farewell meeting at the following link:
